Daylight Savings Time: A Lesson in Skepticism

Daylight Savings Time: A Lesson in Skepticism

Ben Franklin wanted more daylight,

so, of course, we followed suit.

For this, a little more night at daybreak,

and a little less sleep to boot.

But clocks, devices of man they are,

need help to haste the day.

So check them twice at first, at least,

or else you’ll lose your way.

And this because, given the chance,

they’ll leave you in a bind.

With clocks misset by happenstance,

You’ll think you’ve lost your mind.

  1. Wading through the milky fog

    from which our minds deceive

a gem is found beneath the bog

    pure entities he perceives

    shimmering text pierces the smog

    granting gifts no man conceives

from the murky depths of Hampton’s blog

    enlightenment ye shall receive

  2. Somehow i missed the point. Probably lost in translation :) Anyway … nice blog to visit.

    cheers, Minion!
